Cart is empty I have been recently scammed through an on-line scamming interaction with someone who convinced me to invest my money intro trading.
Despite being normally cautious I got sucked in and ended up losing all my savings and fell into debt that I am still re-paying. I have an unfortunate recent personal experience; of it and being qualified mental health professional with 15 years of experience working in mental health and trauma field I am writing a book telling a story about how this all happened, highlighting the mental health impact and what helped me get through the experience.
This a book helping people deal with trauma of being scammed, de-stigmatise the experience that people go through and help them meaningfully understand the impact of it as felt by individuals’ their families and communities.
Scamming has become a cancer of the contemporary society but little has been said about the real impact as felt by individuals’ affected.
The rhetoric used in the media is mostly focused on financial aspect without much understanding of the experience of the individuals’ involved with all trauma and mental health consequences this experience perpetuates, which can be potentially dire and have transgenerational consequences for individuals’ and families involved. There has been a lot that has been said about the impact of social media on our society.
This book brings it into life with the story depicting and real life situation that occurred through on-line interactions and severe consequences it created.
